Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 October 2026 · Last updated: 1 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RO India Service ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit roindiaservice.com, call or message us, or use our water purifier services. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.

1. Data we collect

  • Information you give us: name, mobile number, city, address / locality, preferred time, details of your purifier and the problem, and anything you write in a form, call, e-mail or WhatsApp message.
  • Service records: date of visit, work done, parts used, bill amount and payment status.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring website, approximate location derived from IP, and cookie identifiers.
  • Advertising data: if you reach us through an advertisement, the advertising platform may share which ad or campaign you clicked.
  • Ad measurement: when you submit a booking, your phone number may be shared with Google and Meta in a hashed (encrypted) form only to measure which of our ads led to the booking (for example, Google Ads Enhanced Conversions). It is not used to identify you to others.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, passwords, card numbers, bank PINs or OTPs.

2. Why we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry, confirm a booking and send a technician to your address.
  • To provide, bill and support the service, including warranty and AMC visits.
  • To send service reminders and important updates about your booking by call, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To improve our website and services and to measure the performance of our advertising.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet legal and tax obligations.

We process your data on the basis of your consent (for example, when you submit a form or contact us) and for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as completing a service you requested.

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies from Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads) and Meta (Meta Pixel) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and improve our advertisements. These providers may collect data such as cookie IDs, IP address and pages visited, under their own privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook / Instagram settings. See our Cookie Policy.

4. Who we share data with

  • Our technicians and staff — only the details needed to complete your service.
  • Service providers — website hosting, e-mail, telephony, messaging (such as WhatsApp), analytics and advertising platforms that process data on our behalf.
  • Authorities — when required by law, court order or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

5. How long we keep data

We keep booking and service records for as long as needed to provide the service, honour warranties and AMCs, and meet tax and legal requirements (generally up to 8 years for billing records). Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted or anonymised within 24 months.

6. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, restricted access, security headers and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach where required by law.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to: access a summary of your personal data; correct or update it; erase it when it is no longer needed; withdraw your consent; and nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity. You can also opt out of service reminders at any time. To make a request, contact our Grievance Officer below. You also have the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children under 18 without verifiable parental consent.

9. Links to other websites

Our website links to third-party sites such as Google Maps and WhatsApp. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
